Winter’s scenic wrath

Mother Nature threw all four seasons at Virginia in a 24-hour period to start 2022. January 2 was warm, sunny and 72 degrees. Temperatures started to fall and heavy rains moved in that evening and by mid-day January 3, a heavy, wet snow blanketed the Northern Neck and most of Virginia, causing power outages and treacherous road conditions. After the storm passed, the sun came out over the Corottoman River in Weems.
