Writing takes center stage in Whole School Share event

“Everybody in: Nobody out!” It is undoubtedly easier to embrace something new when a whole community tackles it together.

Chesapeake Academy kindergarten through eighth grade and faculty embraced the Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD) method for writing this year to mitigate writer’s blocks, fine tune the logistics of specific genres of writing and elevate CA writers. After two marking periods of shoulder to shoulder work, the payoff was on display in the school’s Whole School Share event for students, teachers, parents and friends.
