
Northumberland High School went unbeaten at 5-0 in the Northern Neck District and finished the year with a 7-1 record during a shortened girls soccer season.
That was no small feat for a young team with only two players with varsity experience and five of the six freshmen new to the sport, according to coach Mark Fridenstine.
