Zak Kent is one step closer to “The Big Show.”
The 24-year-old right-hander from Heathsville was promoted last Wednesday to the Round Rock Express, the Minor League Baseball team and Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The next “call up” would be to the Major League Rangers team.
Kent was assigned to the Frisco RoughRiders from the Hickory Crawdads in August 2021 and in 2022 has pitched 88.1 innings with a 2-3 record and….
