Pets and children will be eligible for prizes at the Irvington Halloween Children’s Costume Contest at 6 p.m. October 31 at the Gazebo, Irvington Commons, 98 King Carter Drive, Irvington. Judging will begin at 6:15 p.m.
“Any household pet with a costume—dogs, cats, hamsters, iguanas, whatever—can be entered,” said Denise Robertson of the Irvington Village Improvement Association, organizer of the annual contest. “But of course, as always, the children of our community will be the main event.”
For the children’s competition, VIA judges will award 18 prizes for the three best costumes in six different age groups.
