LOTTSBURG—John Lester Boothe, 95, of Lottsburg, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2016. He was a World War II veteran and a self-employed waterman.
Mr. Boothe was born on January 30, 1921, to John Wesley and Edith Samuels Boothe.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Boothe; a son, Eugene Boothe; two daughters, Debra Hagler and Ann Boothe; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Garnett King Boothe.
A funeral service was held December 14 at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Phyllis Hudnall officiating. Interment followed in the Totuskey Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family received friends an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
