Kilmarnock United Methodist Church, 89 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, will host a mission dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, to raise funds for two-year-old Addy Ashburn.
The menu will include ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans, rolls and homemade desserts. Dinner is by donation only and carry out is available.
Addy is the daughter of Aaron Ashburn and Amanda Harris and little sister of seven-year-old Alexis Ashburn, reported the Rev. Penny Cory. Addy recently was diagnosed with Stage 4 adrenal cortical carcinoma and is with her parents at St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Tennessee where she is undergoing chemo treatments.
“Kilmarnock UMC has established an Addy Ashburn Fund to provide support to Addy and her family while she is undergoing treatments for this very rare type of cancer,” said Rev. Cory. “Please join us and support Addy and her family.”
