LHS volleyball teams complete tough stretch

Lancaster fell to 2-2 in Northern Neck District varsity volleyball this week after losing to both Washington & Lee and Rappahannock.

The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Devils, 3-1, last Tuesday. Lancaster won the first game, 25-18, before W&L rallied for three straight wins, 25-10, 25-13 and 25-21.

Maddie Davis had seven kills to lead LHS at the net. Shelby Rose and Sydney Price had their best outings of the season in the middle with four and six kills, respectively, and a combined five blocks.

Rachel Valdrighi led the defense with seven digs, while Katherine Thomas had six digs and six assists. McKenzie Hathaway had five digs and four aces on serves.

Rappahannock swept Lancaster, 3-0, on Thursday with wins of 25-20, 25-12 and 25-20…
