12th Irvington Crab Festival raises $23,000 for Steamboat Era Museum

The 2023 Irvington Crab Festival was a huge success, raising more the $23,000 for the Steamboat Era Museum.

The sold-out event, which is the museum’s largest fundraiser of the year, took place September 16 under the Carousel Physical Therapy tent on the Irvington Commons, reported executive director Steve Humphrey.

Crabs were provided by Crab Express and served up by Mike Phillips and William Smith. Sharon Phillips, Cay Bradley and Humphrey made sure each crab was covered with seasoning before being served to attendees. Other treats included barbecue provided by the Tides Inn and hot dogs.
