LANCASTER—During a special work session on Thursday, September 28, the Lancaster board of supervisors finalized designs for three public waterfront access sites after incorporating public input from a previous work session in August.
A related public hearing will be held at the October 26 board meeting.
Although a public hearing is not required, “I believe that it has been the board’s intention, for transparency’s sake, to schedule a public hearing,” said county administrator Don Gill.
Kristin Baum with the architectural firm Guernsey Tingle said minor changes had occurred at the Carter Cove site, primarily “having the restroom building tucked out of sight.” She also added that a smaller work group will meet October 13 to consider how to best use the old oyster house site….
