The Lancaster County Virginia Education Foundation (LCVEF) recently honored 34 Lancaster High School (LHS) students for their academic achievements.
Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors gathered at Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury (RWC) for the annual Celebration of Excellence Dinner, reported Margaret Socey. They were recognized by LCVEF and presented certificates and a gift following a dinner in their honor.
Students were selected based on their grade point averages—top five for the freshmen, sophomore, and junior classes and the top 10 in the senior class, said Socey. In addition, two students were nominated by LHS staff for each grade level. The selected students, in turn, chose four teachers they wanted to honor.
