Volleyball season comes to an end for Lancaster

In its last full week of regular season play, Lancaster split against Northern Neck District opponents Essex and Colonial Beach in varsity volleyball. However, the Lady Devils ended the season on a high note with a 3-1 win over Mathews October 23.

Emily Carlson had the big night for the Devils against Mathews, laying down seven kills and putting over seven unreturned serves. She also had two digs and a block.

Braelyn Johnson had five aces and Jocelyn Hasson three.

Hasson also had five kills and Rory Lally and Ayla Saunders had one each. Lally and Tahlia Sutton got above the net for a block apiece.

Leading on the back row were Saunders with six digs and Johnson and Belle Bean with three each. Lily Hathaway had two digs.

The Devils finished the season at 7-12 and did not make postseason play.

The Drifters secured the fourth place seed….
