Despite splitting games against Northern Neck District rival Rappahannock last week—winning on the road and losing at home—the Lancaster varsity baseball team remains in first place in district standings at 7-1.

LHS will cap regular season play today at Essex. The Red Devils will host a tournament semifinal game on Tuesday, May 19. The opponent wasn’t set at press time.

Lancaster 3, Rappahannock 0

Strong pitching dominated action in Warsaw and Lancaster scored some late-game runs to beat host Rappahannock, 3-0.

The Devils broke a scoreless outing in the top of the fifth after Brady Erskine hit a lead-off single back to pitcher Dayne Keyser then scored on a Thomas Major two-out double to center field. Braden George singled to drive in….
