Menhaden vessel tours
The public had an opportunity to tour the working menhaden vessel F/V Rappahannock on Saturday, May 16, at Ocean Harvesters in Fleeton. Ocean Harvesters chief executive officer Monty Deihl explained the local menhaden fishery and related harvesting operations to a tour group waiting to board the vessel. Onboard, visitors inspected the engine room, purse boats, deck, crew quarters, galley and wheelhouse.
