Lancaster’s first-ever Law Enforcement Auction will come to Good Luck Cellars, 1025 Goodluck Road, Kilmarnock, at 4 p.m. July 11.
Members of local law enforcement have (been) volunteered to be “auctioned” to the highest bidder for a two-hour rendezvous, reported Lancaster County Sheriffs Office (LCSO) communications officer and Lancaster County Keepsafe Program president Carina Bly. Participating officers include county deputies, town police officers, detectives, school resource officers, bailiffs, a state trooper and command staff.
Winning bidders can choose how to spend their two hours—rules apply. Looking for a lunch companion? Want someone to accompany you to a community event, help judge a cook-off, or simply share stories and laughter? The possibilities are nearly endless—within reason, of course, said Bly.
The event promises plenty of laughs, friendly competition and opportunities to support a program that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local seniors, she said. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Lancaster County Keepsafe Program, an organization under the LCSO dedicated to helping seniors remain safe and connected.
Whether bidding on a favorite officer, competing for bragging rights, or simply coming to enjoy the entertainment, organizers encourage everyone to attend. Curated food boxes will be available for a suggested donation.
