Kilmarnock adopts $9 million budget

KILMARNOCK—The Kilmarnock Town Council on Monday, June 22, unanimously adopted a fiscal year 2026-27 budget totaling $9,035,533.

The budget reflects a major focus on utility infrastructure, particularly as it relates to sewer and water.

Council member Cynthia Scott moved to adopt the budget. Matt Cunningham seconded the motion. Rebecca Nunn, Alice Cooper, Mike Bedell and Mae Umphlett also voted in favor and the motion passed, 6-0.
