New state budget includes funds for Northumberland Clubhouse project

The recently approved state budget includes significant investments in Boys & Girls Club programming statewide, with funding directed to both the Virginia Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs and the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN).

The Virginia Alliance allocation will expand student access to clubs across the Commonwealth, including the Northern Neck. The statewide initiative aims to extend learning beyond the school day with programs focused on workforce development, mental health and wellness, safety, and leadership.

The BGCNN received a separate $250,000 appropriation to support construction of new youth and teen centers at the Northumberland Clubhouse. The funding was sponsored by….
