LANCASTER—The Lancaster County Circuit Court convened for term day Friday, July 24, with the Hon. John S. Martin presiding.
In the case of Richard A Grimm, no address given, charged with a felony for malicious wounding, an arraignment was continued to October 23.
In the case of Quinton A. Hudnall, no address, charged with felonies for other forgery/uttering and other forgery, employing as true, an arraignment was continued to October 23.
In the case Matthew Q. Rosner, no address, charged with two felonies for violating probation, a show cause hearing was continued to October 23.
In the case of Clifton O. Saul of Heathsville, charged with a felony for violating probation, an arraignment was continued to October 23.
In the case of Brittany M. Stewart of Newport News, charged with a felony for destruction of property, a felony for unauthorized use of a vehicle, two felonies and one misdemeanor for deferred disposition violations and a misdemeanor for non-compliance with the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP), an arraignment was continued to October 23.
In the case of Donald D. Vaughan, no address, charged with four felony counts of violating probation, an arraignment was continued to October 23.
In the case of Derrick L. Wilson of Lancaster, charged with a misdemeanor for violating probation, an arraignment was continued to October 23.
In the case of Jerod S. Gamble of Hampton, charged with two felonies for selling a Schedule I/II substance, a capias hearing was continued to October 23.
In the case of Kevin J. Hall of Lancaster, who previously pleaded guilty to a felony for making a false statement on a criminal history consent and given a deferred disposition, a review hearing was continued by defense motion until October 23.
In the case of Robert L. Jones Jr. of White Stone, who previously pleaded guilty to felonies for DWI, third/subsequent offense; and child abuse, disregard for life; those charges were dismissed after completing recovery court.
In the case of Erick K. Marlow of Lancaster, previously found not guilty by reason of insanity of a felony for extortion in writing, a review hearing was scheduled for August 14.
In the case of Kendall C. Anderson of White Stone, charged with a felony for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for September 4.
In the case of Travis Wiggins of Lancaster, charged with three felonies for violating probation, probation was revoked. He was sentenced to 22 years with 21 years suspended and ordered to pay $263 in court costs on the first charge. He received suspended sentences of 19 years and 10 years on the other two charges.
Lakeya M. Carey of Lancaster pleaded no contest to five misdemeanors for violating good behavior and was sentenced to 320 days with 220 days suspended, 12 months of probation, and ordered to pay $575 in court costs. She was given 12-month suspended sentences on the remaining four charges.
In the case of Jerkese R. Ball of Lancaster, charged with two felonies for manufacturing/distributing a Schedule I/II substance, third-plus offense, those charges were nolle prossed.
In the case of James H. Gallon of Lancaster, charged with a felony for shooting into an occupied building; a felony for malicious assault; and a misdemeanor for reckless handling of a firearm, a status hearing was scheduled for October 23.
In the case of Andre M. Jones of Lancaster, charged with a felony for assault on a law enforcement officer, a status hearing was scheduled for October 23.
In the case of John R. Martin of Lancaster, charged with a felony for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for December 11.
In the case of Douglas M. Mills, no address, charged with a felony for abduction by force or intimidation and misdemeanors for assault and battery of a family member, destruction of property and stalking with fear of death or assault, a status hearing was scheduled for October 23.
In the case of Dari’k J. Reed of Weems, charged with a felony for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for August 21.
In the case of Jerrick D. Saunders of Lancaster, charged with two felonies and two misdemeanors for violating probation and a misdemeanor for trespassing, a status hearing was scheduled for October 23.
In the case of Brandon E. Turner of Lancaster, charged with two felonies for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for October 23.
In the case of Jesse L. Carroll of Staunton, charged with four felonies for selling/distributing a Schedule I/II substance and one felony for drug sales near a school or library, a status hearing was scheduled for August 14.
In the case of Karl N. Blackwell of Richmond, charged with two felonies for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for November 20.
Matthew L. Abbott of Lancaster was found guilty of a felony for destruction of property and given a three-year suspended sentence with 12 months of probation and ordered to pay $463 in court costs. He also was charged with a felony for strangling with injury as a result, but found guilty of an amended charge of misdemeanor assault and battery and given a 12-month suspended sentence with 12-months or probation and $262 in court costs.
In the case of David S. Benson of Heathsville, appealing a General District Court misdemeanor conviction for non-compliance with the VASAP, a status hearing was scheduled for October 23.
In the case of Brent P. Snyder of Urbanna, charged with two felonies for violating probation, a trial was scheduled for September 4.
In the case of Joshua L. Tice of Kilmarnock, appealing a Juvenile and Domestic Relations court felony conviction for unauthorized use of a vehicle, and charged with a felony for violating probation, both charges were nolle prossed.

A grand jury also convened on Friday, July 24, and issued the following true bills of indictment.
Jerel L. Newton of Kilmarnock was charged with a felony for being a violent felon in possession of a weapon. A trial was scheduled for August 7.
Brian K. Bridges Jr. of Kilmarnock was charged with a felony for possession of a Schedule I/II substance. A trial was scheduled for October 2.
Robert W. Ronquest of White Stone was charged with a misdemeanor for stalking with fear of death or assault. A trial was scheduled for September 4.
Alton W. Meekins of Irvington was charged with a felony for possession of a Schedule I/II substance. A plea hearing was scheduled for August 7.
Corey N. Bevell, no address, was charged with two felonies for grand larceny. An arraignment was scheduled for August 7.
James P. Campbell, no address, was charged with three felonies for grand larceny and two felonies for possession of stolen property with intent to sell. An arraignment was scheduled for August 7.
Bailey M. Gough, no address, was charged with a felony for child abuse, disregard for life. An arraignment was scheduled for August 7.
Michael S. Kappel, no address, was charged with a felony for accepting advance pay without providing construction. An arraignment was scheduled for August 7.
Randall S. Miles, no address, was charged with six misdemeanors for trespassing after forbidden, and misdemeanors for assault and battery of a family member, entering a property to damage, and stalking with fear of death or assault. An arraignment was scheduled for August 7.
Ian C. Sylva, no address, was charged with a felony for malicious assault. An arraignment was scheduled for August 7.
Khalil S. Oates of Richmond was charged with a felony for malicious wounding in a mob.
Remeshia N. Porter of Heathsville was charged with a felony for malicious wounding in a mob.
Curneshia C. Porter of Heathsville was charged with a felony for malicious wounding in a mob.
Joshua D. Owens, no address, was charged with a felony for malicious wounding in a mob.
Wenqian Wen, no address, was charged with two felonies for obtaining money under false pretenses. An arraignment was scheduled for August 7.

In the case of James D. Ludwig of Weems, charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for August 14.
In the case of William M. Noel of Weems, charged with 10 felonies for violating probation, a show cause hearing was scheduled for August 21.
