
REEDVILLE—Lesly Haynie Hall, 60, lifelong Reedville resident, died Thursday, July 30, 2026, surrounded by her family. She battled ovarian cancer for the last year.
Mrs. Hall was a 1984 graduate of Northumberland High School. She worked as a registered nurse for over 30 years, specifically enjoying her time spent in labor and delivery at Rappahannock General Hospital. She received the Daisy Award and most recently loved teaching new nursing students at Rappahannock Community College. She was a member of Fairport Baptist Church.
Survivors include her, husband Jeffrey R. Hall; her son, John D. Hall and his wife Kelsie of Smithfield; her daughter, Sarah Hall Loving and her husband Bailey of Heathsville; her father, Captain Pete Haynie; her brother, Captain John Haynie; four grandchildren, John “Wyatt” Hall, Jordan Hall, Isabelle Loving and Elizabeth “Sawyer” Loving; and dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bette “Cookie” Rittenhouse Haynie.
Lesly had countless undeniable friendships that seemed more like family than just mere friends. She cherished and prioritized her family and friends above all else.
The family received friends at a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, August 3, at Roseland Cemetery in Reedville led by Tommy Thompson.
