More than 60 swimmers competed in the Wharf to Wharf Open Water Swim Saturday, August 15, on the East River at Williams Wharf in Mathews.
Hosted by the Mathews Outdoor Club (MOC), the W2W attracted participants from across Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Swimmers of all ages and experience levels took part, contributing to the event’s relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, reported race director Carolyn Quinn.
