Most couples might celebrate their wedding anniversary with a romantic dinner, cards, or champagne. But Cheryl Reed, a local author and community volunteer from Lottsburg, yearned for something more memorable—something that might stir emotions and joy she and her husband experienced when they wed 30 years ago.
Her idea was to recreate the day by putting on their formal wedding attire, having portraits taken and throwing a party complete with a wedding cake, flowers and a priest’s blessing.
There was one obstacle: her husband.
