The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Richmond Chapter on October 7 held its annual Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Bethpage Camp Resort in Urbanna. Nearly 300 individuals participated and raised over $55,000 for Alzheimer’s care, support programs and research.
The walk is one of three walks to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Richmond, reported director of communications Jeff Baldwin. Others include a Fredericksburg walk October 14 at the University of Mary Washington and a Richmond walk November 4 at Markel Plaza in Innsbrook.
“This year’s fundraising goal for the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Walk to End Alzheimer’s is $81,000, and currently, we are well short of that goal,” said Baldwin.
