KILMARNOCK—The Mason and Lula Cole Charitable Trust recently made annual awards to 33 community organizations. Contributions totaled $248,000.
Lula and Mason Cole, who enjoyed successful careers and were able to build a substantial amount of wealth, established this foundation by setting up trusts during their lifetime that would pass to a Charitable Foundation at their death, reported Chesapeake Bank marketing director Paula Milstead.
