The 39th annual Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show is all set for March 17 and 18 at the White Stone Firehouse, 579 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone.
Exhibitors will attend from Connecticut to Florida with their wildfowl paintings, carvings, bronzes and photography.
Each year three exhibitors are selected as featured artists. This year they include Steve Rogers of Lewes, Del., who is the Artist of the Year. Prints of his new painting will be given away each day at the show, reported organizer Pat Bruce.
Bill Chrisman of Rocky Mount has donated one of his exquisite carvings for the Preview Night Gala door prize, said Bruce. The weekend door prize is an original carving by Chris Martin of Church Hill, Md.
Martin was born and raised on Kent Island on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He started carving at the age of 13 to make decoys to hunt with, describing them “as not much to look at but they worked,” said Bruce…
