WAKE—The unthinkable became horrid reality when the murdered body of missing mom Terry Lynn St. John was found on March 1 in Wake about a mile from her home.
For about 48 hours, family, friends and the social media community had worried about St. John who had been reported missing from her home on Mill Wharf Road on February 27.
Two days and nights of investigation led detectives to Alvin Bernard Keyser, 23, of Topping. He was interviewed by Middlesex Sheriff’s Office (MSO) detectives the day after St. John disappeared. Keyser turned himself in to detectives the next morning, March 1. He showed authorities where he had dumped St. John’s body and attempted to cover it with leaves and debris. She was found less than 20 feet off of the north side of Barrick’s Mill Road in a thicket.
Keyser, 23, is charged with two felonies, first degree murder and concealment of a dead body, according to arrest warrants filed in Middlesex General District Court.
