Irvington Farmers Market set Saturday

Over 90 vendors will offer goods at the Irvington Farmers Market Saturday, July 7, at the Irvington Commons, 98 King Carter Drive, this coming Saturday, July 7.

“This will be our mega market, the biggest one of the season,” said market coordinator Anne Mattheisen.

There will be seasonal local produce, breads, cheeses, meats, flowers, plants, baked goods and artisans. Vendors will offer good food to eat at the market including breakfast sandwiches and sausage biscuits as well as oyster tacos, crab cakes and soft-shell crab sandwiches, she said.

WildFlower Honey, a bluegrass/Americana-inspired band, featuring upright base, acoustic guitar and banjo, will play in the gazebo.

The Steamboat Era Museum will offer free admission during market hours, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is sponsored by the Irvington Village Improvement Association.
