REEDVILLE—Donald Polen Chamblee Jr. departed this life July 10, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy.
He is survived by his wife, Betty of Reedville; daughter, Tamara Chamblee Hall (Andy) of Reedville; stepchildren, Patricia Dennis of Salisbury, Md., and David Pruitt of Crisfield, Md.; and five grandchildren, Caiti, Zach and Liz Hall; Lydia Pruitt and Patrick Helgason; two sisters, Sally Boykin (Jack) of Midlothian and Sarah Childress (Preston) of Winchester.
Don served four years in the U.S. Coast Guard, attended Apprentice School at Newport News Shipbuilding and for the past 42 years owned and operated Smith Point Marina and Little River Campground in Reedville.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Currie Funeral Home, 115 East Church Street, Kilmarnock.
