BURGESS—John W. Buchanan Sr., 80, of Burgess died Sunday, September 2, 2018.
He was a member of New Friendship Baptist Church.
A retired auto mechanic and business owner from northern Virginia, Mr. Buchanan was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; sons, Alan R. Buchanan and Kent S. Buchanan; grandchildren, Jake, Cole, Ally, Jack, Virginia and Pierce; and siblings, Barbara Jean Windsor, Anita Crawford and Wesley Buchanan.
He was predeceased by his son, John W. Buchanan Jr.
A celebration of life was held at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, September 9, at New Friendship Baptist Church, 13559 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.
