A Monday morning fire damaged the Boys and Girls Club of the Northern Neck building in Kilmarnock. Above, a truck and firemen from the Kilmarnock Volunteer Fire Department are on the scene. Via its Facebook page, the club issued the following statement:
“The Boys & Girls club has suffered a fire. There were no injuries or children in the building at the time of the fire. The club will be closed today. The club will be unable to provide transportation from the schools this afternoon so parents should make arrangements for their own child’s transportation home from school this afternoon. We will contact parents with an anticipated date to reopen.”
