LANCASTER—Josephine Madge Fox, 97, of Lancaster passed away Monday, November 12, 2018, surrounded by God’s love and that of her family.

Jo was born in Osage, W.Va., on August 19, 1921, to Harry and Virginia Reel. She grew up in Mt. Morris, Pa., where she met her husband of 66 years, Charles M. Fox Jr. better known as “Pop.”

Jo was pre-deceased in death by her husband Charles in 2007; both her sons, Chuck in 2003 and Joe in 2010; and her sister, June, and brother, Harry.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Lawrence and husband, Jeff, of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Denise Patterson of Canonsburg, Pa., Lori Cain (Paul) of Taylorsville, Ky., Charlie Fox (Chelsey) of Lancaster, Ted Fox and fiancé, Lauren Jefferson, of Moyock, N.C., and Amy Jo King (Aaron) of Morgantown, W.Va.

Jo is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends who knew and loved this gracious lady.

A celebration of life service for Jo and Charles will be held in the spring at Bethel United Methodist Church in Lively, where they attended and were members for many years prior to moving back to Mt. Morris, Pa. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
