LHS varsity and JV girls dominate NHS

Lancaster took a 24-1 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a 71-19 win over Northumberland last Tuesday to pick up their second Northern Neck District win in varsity girls basketball.

However, Rappahannock downed the Lady Devils last Friday, 43-38, to drop Lancaster to 2-2 in the league and 9-5 overall.

Northumberland’s Tanaya Seldon hit a free throw with 1:32 left in the first quarter to put the first point on the board for the Lady Indians. Lancaster opened with a 24-0 run and outscored the visitors 16-5 in the second quarter to hold a 40-6 lead at the half.
