Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will stage a “good ol’ days” of country and rock and roll show Saturday, May 4, at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium, Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews.
The show will feature the house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers performing the best songs of the 50s, 60s and 70s, reported president Lynda Smith. The doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.
“This is one of the most requested shows we do each year,” said Smith.
There will be a special mother-son rendition of “I Got You Babe” by Sonny and Cher, and Elvis will even make an appearance…
