LANCASTER—Katherine Shepard, chief ranger of Belle Isle State Park and an eight-year veteran at the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), has been named the new park manager at Belle Isle State Park. She began her duties April 25.
Eastern field operations director Timothy Schrader said he expects Shepard will continue to deliver quintessential Northern Neck experiences for which the park is renowned.
