Lancaster track teams advance to state meet

The Lancaster High School girls track team produced a record number of Region A individual champions and the Red Devils boys team brought home the team title from last week’s regional meet at Sussex Central.

In addition, Red Devils distance runner and jumper Domonique Veney was named the boys Region A meet MVP.

Lancaster’s boys and girls teams will compete this weekend in the Group 1/2 meet at East Rockingham High School in Elkton.

The LHS boys team had four individual regional champions and a first-place relay team to dominate the Region A meet and win the championship with 117.5 points. Lancaster was 67 points better than Middlesex and Mathews, who tied for second with 50 points…
