The Kiwanis Club of the Northern Neck, through its KIDS Foundation, has for the last 20 years held a used boat auction at Yankee Point Sailboat Marina.
Annual auction sales have netted between $20,000 and $30,000, reported Rev. Tom Coye. Proceeds have benefited numerous organizations that support children. Examples include the YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club, the Community Christmas Child Project, the Free Health Clinic and scholarships to Lancaster and Northumberland high school graduates.
