WOW fall series to explore ‘I believe…’

Worship on Wednesdays, (WOW) an ecumenical and interracial gathering meets Wednesdays at Kilmarnock Baptist Church, 65 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, and will begin its eight week fall series September 11.

The series will explore basic assertions of faith, “I believe…” Topics will include “I believe:

• In God.”

• In Jesus.”

• In the Holy Spirit.”

• In the church.”

• In the Bible.”

• In immortality.”

• In hope for humankind.”

• In miracles.”

Area clergy speakers include Tom Coye, Carolyn Williams, Alan Rock, Jesse Blythe, Sandi Shaner, Richard Abbott, Larry Adams and Jim Johnson.

WOW offers an alternative style of worship through contemporary music and a devotional, testimony, teaching style of message by an ecumenical cadre of popular area clergy, said Johnson.

The coffee fellowship will begin at 5:30 p.m. and worship at 6 p.m., followed by a snack supper at 6:30 p.m. Sharing the cost of the supper is encouraged and contributions are suggested, $3 per person, $10 per family, but nothing is required.
