The Strings Crewe recently held its first group lesson of the year for Northern Neck cello and viola students, ages 7-12, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Heathsville.
In its second year, the Strings Crewe is supplementing public school music education with Suzuki-method instruction to 20 students, reported program director Sue Nunn. Current enrollment includes eight cello, two viola and 10 violin students.
