Now in the fifth year, Kilmarnock’s Hometown Heroes program is honoring over 200 Heroes.
The “Celebrating Hometown Heroes” Walking Tour honors military veterans from World War I to Desert Storm with banners throughout the Steptoe’s dining and shopping district, reported community development coordinator Ashley M. Jones.
“Take this self-guided walking tour of over 200 banners and learn the stories of these veterans as you stroll Main Street,” she said. “On display all summer long, these banners honor these heroes and their service.”
