While the COVID-19 pandemic may have canceled many of the summer activities and events for folks in the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula, small businesses, restaurants, beaches and fishing spots all remained open and a draw for visitors and residents alike.
Voting in The Rivah Visitor’s Guide’s Best of the Rivah 2020 contest was extended by a month this year and winners were announced in the August issue.
The fifth annual readers’ survey had 38 categories, according to publications coordinator Susan Simmons.
“We congratulate all of our winners and ask our readers to continue to support them and all of the small businesses,” said Simmons.
