See ‘living history’ September 19 at the Heathsville Farmers Market

September 19 will be a good day to “Make It a Heathsville Saturday.”

The entire community will come together to offer a variety of fun shopping and things to do in conjunction with the Heathsville Farmers Market, reported Rice’s Hotel/Hughlett’s Tavern executive director Corinne Becker.

As part of the September market, members of local historical groups will organize a “living history” encampment outside the Tavern. A display of historical flags also will be displayed. See folks in costume and learn about local history. Groups representing the American Revolution, War of 1812, Civil War and Black History will all be present, said Becker.

The market offers Northern Neck produce, baked goods, gourmet…
