Mark Tures wins RPRC pistol match

The Rappahannock Pistol & Rifle Club conducted a “Falling Plates” match for .22 caliber rim-fire pistols on Saturday, August 29.

The targets consisted of six round metal plate targets which are 8 inches in diameter and spaced a foot apart on a 4-foot-high metal stand, reported Tom Smith. The competition requires a trade-off between speed and accuracy with rapid fire shooting from distances of 15-25 yards. Time limits range from 7-10 seconds…
