Cats in need of ‘furever’ home following tragedy

The tornado of August 4 in the Ocran area of Lancaster County not only resulted in the death of J.W. Childs, but his wife, Leslie, had to move to an assisted living facility, leaving their two feline companions without a home, according to a press release posted by Garfield’s Rescue Inc. (GRI).

Mr. Childs was Mrs. Childs’ caregiver until his death, reported GRI corresponding secretary and data manager Kathy Haurand.
