LANCASTER—Franklin Eugene “Gene” Taft , 69, of Lancaster passed away October 7, 2020.
He was a resident of Brambles in Mathews and a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, Alfonso.
He is survived by three sisters, Louise Brocklebank of Kilmarnock, Sandra Kellum (Warren) of Lancaster and Paige Bedell (Mike) of Kilmarnock; two brothers, Lawrence H. Taft Jr. (Joyce) of Lancaster and Tony Taft (Kathy) of White Stone; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence H. Taft Sr. and Rachel Revere Taft.
Gene lived life to the fullest and was a kind and thoughtful soul. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services were held at 3 p. m. Saturday, October 10, at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery, Alfonso.
