White Stone increases CARES Act grants to qualifying businesses seeking relief funding

WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council last Thursday decided to increase possible Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding for businesses and non-profits that submitted an application.

The applications were due to the town November 30. Town manager Patrick Frere told council he wasn’t sure of the exact number because several had been submitted to Mayor Randy Reeves, who was absent from last week’s meeting. “I believe it’s between 15 and 20, maybe 17 or 18,” he said.
