Town to replace police car engine

WHITE STONE—The White Stone Town Council on Thursday, February 4, voted unanimously, 7-0, to spend almost $8,000 to replace the engine in its town police car.

Council accepted an estimate from West Point Ford to replace the engine on the 2008 Ford Crown Victoria at a cost of $7,972.52, according to town manager Patrick Frere.

William Hubbard made the motion to approve the estimate using a combination of funds from a money market account held at Atlantic Union Bank and from the town’s operating budget.
