KILMARNOCK—Julian A. “Tony” Ritch of Kilmarnock died suddenly on April 12, 2021. Born on January 12, 1961, he was the first and only child of Shirley and Arthur “Teddy” Ritch.
Both of his parents preceded him in death.
As a youth, Tony was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Kilmarnock. He later joined Trinity Baptist Church and eventually St. Paul Baptist Church. He sang with many choirs, including Northern Neck Convention Choir, The First Baptist Choir, The Peterson Family Choir, The Men’s Choir of St. Paul Baptist Church and various other choirs in Virginia.
Tony was educated in the public schools of Northumberland County and attended Norfolk State University. He was employed in customer service sectors.
A funeral was held Sunday, April 18, at the First Baptist Church Pavilion in Heathsville. Interment followed in the First Baptist Church Cemetery.
