REEDVILLE—Franklyn Hiram Haynie, 85, of Reedville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 2, 2021, with family by his side after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was the only child of Joseph Walter Haynie and Lillian Lewis Haynie.

He is survived by his wife of over 54 years, Carol McAnally Haynie of Reedville; one son, Stacy Franklyn Haynie (Kelly); one granddaughter, Rachael Blair Haynie; and one grandson, Luke Mason Haynie, all of Warsaw.

He was a 1953 graduate of Reedville High School. He was an Army veteran and a retired carpenter and waterman.

Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing and he was an avid baseball fan.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville.

He was a kind man and always willing to help others.

Currie Funeral Home LLC of Kilmarnock handled the arrangements.
