Northumberland boys, Cumberland girls win track and field competition

Jay Bea and Cameron Seldon won two events each to lead the Northumberland High School boys track and field team to a home victory last Thursday.

The Indians scored 114 points to beat five other teams. Cumberland High was the runner-up with 76 points, Lancaster third with 74, Carver Academy fourth with 59, Northampton fifth with 51 and Essex sixth with 27.

Bea led the throwers, winning both the discus (109’2”) and the shot put (38’6.5”). The Indians’ Tremoni Rice was the runner-up in both of those events with….
