“Unleashed,” a fashion show and luncheon to benefit The Animal Welfare League of the Northern Neck (AWL), will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club, 362 Club Drive, Kilmarnock.
Tickets are $40, and are still available at the AWL Thrift Store, 75 South Main Street, Kilmarnock.
“We have fewer than a dozen tickets left and we’re confident that we’ll be sold out to capacity of 130 guests by this weekend,” said Muff Hughes.
“Our guests are invited to arrive at 11 a.m. and shop the dining room tables which will feature centerpieces of decorative items for the home; handbags, scarves, small leather goods; just a wide assortment of beautiful things that have been donated to our Thrift Store,” said CJ Carter. “We spent the better part of a day pricing items and organizing them by theme for each of our 20 tables. We got a little goofy after a few hours and starting naming the tables; ‘Jolly Old England,’ ‘Country Chicks,’ ‘Viva Las Vegas,’ ‘Life’s a Beach.’ Now when we find another item to add….
