KILMARNOCK—After a long year since Cheryl Amaral Wicks passed from this life on May 15, 2020, now that it is safe for family and friends to travel and gather, her loving husband, Thomas “Tom” Wicks of Kilmarnock, is announcing the time and place to honor and remember her.

There will be a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. July 14, 2021, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 154 East Church Street, Kilmarnock, followed immediately by a graveside ceremony in the cemetery behind the church. Then all are invited to a luncheon, hosted by the Women of St. Francis de Sales, at the church’s activity center across the street.

Cheryl had been part of that women’s group for years and had helped prepare and host such gatherings for others. Now it is her turn to be remembered for that beautiful radiant smile and her kindness, generosity and boundless love. In brief, a passage from the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13:13, says it all:

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
